Who we are

What the app stores
The app does not record what you say to each other. It stores only what it needs to run your table:
- The two names you type, and the email address used to sign in.
- Your language, your notification and haptics settings, and a push token if you allow notifications.
- Which cards were opened, finished, skipped or kept for later, and when.
- Whether the deck was unlocked, through which store, and the store’s transaction id. We never see card numbers.
- A count of the cards you send and of “Tell a couple”: the card number only, nothing about who received it.
- Sign-in events: the date, and whether it was the app or a browser.
- On two cards played apart (53 and 65), the short text you write for your partner. It is stored encrypted and shown only to your partner.
Where it is stored
The app runs on Vercel and its database on Neon, both in Frankfurt, Germany. Apple delivers push notifications if you turn them on. Purchases go through Apple’s App Store in the app, or Stripe on the web.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs that watch what you do.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- No account for your partner is needed to play with you in the same room.
Sign-in
You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email. The code is valid for ten minutes. We keep a hash of it, not the code.
Deleting your data
- Leave the table (settings) removes your email and push token and closes the table for both of you.
- Delete my account (settings) deletes your sign-in and everything you entered, for good.
- Or write to hello@axol-ventures.com and we delete it for you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. If you live in the EU or UK, these are your rights under the GDPR; write to the address above.
Children
The app is for couples and not intended for anyone under 13.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
